The Sincerely Team is joining hundreds of other developers and designers descending on NYC for Photo Hack Day II. The event is taking place at NYC’s General Assembly February 25th-26th, and this time, Sincerely is an official sponsor and will be giving out some awesome prizes including free Sincerely credits, T shirts and more! Last Summer, Aviary brought together the creative forces of the best minds in mobile photography, photo editing, web design and more, to create photo hacks using API’s from participating companies, including Sincerely’s own Ship Library. The resulting hacks, after a 24 hour hackathon, were astounding.
We are looking forward to collaborating with friends, new and old, and be a part of some amazing hacks. We’ll give a brief presentation on the Sincerely Ship API on Saturday morning, participating in workshops, observing demos, and participating in the hack, which runs from 11:30 a.m. Saturday the 25th through Noon on Sunday the 26th.
For all you hackers who want to take the Sincerely Ship API for a test drive before next weekend, we’d love for you to try out our apps and our partner apps with some free credits, courtesy of Sincerely. Simply go to this url to redeem the Photohackday promo code, good for up to 5 free cards. Below are sample postcards from our partners.

While packing and preparing for Photo Hack Day, here are some things to keep in mind:
Bring your stash
Of Ideas! That stash of great ideas you hold onto but haven’t yet acted upon. Photo Hack Day is about innovation, collaboration, and creativity, so run with it. If you don’t have time to think of an idea or need some inspiration, feel free to tackle one of these.
Summon your social butterfly!
This is a chance to interact with the brightest minds in mobile photography development and design, so don’t be shy! This is a chance to make lasting connections. Photo Hack Day II will be broadcasting with #PHD2 and @photohacknyc.
Who do you want to work with?
You can find the RSVP’s here. If you are particularly interested in someone elses work and want to collaborate, seek them out before and at the event! Photo Hack Day draws people from all over the world, so it’s a special opportunity for all participants to meet and share ideas.
Prepare for a long night and stay caffeinated!
General Assembly provides coffee to keep you going through a long night of collaboration.

Take the time to explore General Assembly.
It’s an office and community space designed to feel like a college campus with plush couches, desks, a lecture hall and even a library. If you’re a New York native, or have an extended stay in the area, check out one of the many tech, design, and entrepreneurial classes and events the Assembly has to offer.
Find the Sincerely Team to Chat About Our Ship API
If you are interested in our Ship API, which allows developers to integrate a ‘Print and Ship’ feature into their app, come find with us! We would love to talk with you.
Take a walk and grab a bite
General Assembly sits on Broadway and E 21st in the Flatiron neighborhood in Manhattan, so before, during or after the event, grab a bite to eat and stretch your legs. Our picks in the area:
- Eataly: Mario Batali’s Italian food and wine wonderland, on 5th avenue between 23rd and 24th st.
- The Shake Shack in Madison Square Park: Burgers and shakes made with sustainable, local products.
- Gramercy Tavern: If you’re looking for a dinner out, you can’t miss with the Gramercy Tavern, rated as #6 on New York Magazines list of the city’s best restaurants. Located at 20th street and Broadway
- Stumptown Coffee at the Ace Hotel: The Portland roasters have brought their delicious brews to Manhattan and are located on 29th street and Broadway
- Highline Park: Built on a historic freight rail line, this public park runs through Manhattans west side. The closest access point to General Assembly is on 20th street and 10th ave.
